Emergency Clean-up
M&S possesses the ability and the experience necessary for effectively clearing disaster debris quickly and efficiently. Obstructed roads and pathways are a major safety concern following tropical storms and hurricanes, so we take all relief efforts very seriously and we pride ourselves in the help that we provide.
Storm Preparation
Thick untrimmed tree canopies are a major risk factor during storms because the excessive growth can create additional wind resistance and put too much strain on the tree, increasing the chances of adverse events such as structural failure. It is important to maximize aerodynamics and minimize dead weight prior to any storm bringing high wind speeds. Any rotting or dying limbs need to be cut and removed and adequate space in the canopy needs to be cleared in order to allow high speed winds to safely pass through.
Trimming, pruning, or complete tree removal are the most common risk mitigation strategies prior to a storm; along with cabling and bracing techniques as well. For the extra careful homeowner who wants to preserve as much plant life as possible, cabling and bracing can be helpful options for strengthening a slightly compromised tree.
